Graduation at CCA

The Career and College Academy hosts one graduation each year at the end of May.

CCA graduates have the opportunity to walk with their graduating class at the CCA, Gateway Technical College upon earning a credential, and also the graduating class at their enrolled high school - Elkhorn or Williams Bay.

Students are expected to meet all requirements to graduation and attend all meetings/practices for the ceremonies they are planning to participate.

We will use this space to provide updates, as they are available, for graduation ceremonies so our students can plan and take part in all of the celebrations afforded by their hard work!

Important Dates and Reminders

• Best reminder/advice - Seniors, check your emails (all of them) each week - Gateway, home high school, and CCA - updates, invites, information are all shared via email. It is your responsibility to check and be informed. Then, share this information with your family, so they can plan and be available for all of the awesome celebrations planned for April and May!

• Thursday, April 30th - Gateway Academy and Youth Apprenticeship Celebration - 11-12pm in the Gateway South Building

  • Students who have completed a Gateway Academy or completed a Youth Apprenticeship are invited to this celebration, along with their family. RSVP at this LINK by April 17

• Friday, May 15th - CCA Graduation Practice - 8:30am in the Gateway South Building

  • Students hand in their chromebook, cases, chargers, Gateway books, and pay any fees

  • Students receive their cap, gown, and tassel

  • Students may keep their cap and tassel, they return their gown after the graduation ceremony at Grand Geneva

  • Dr. Demerath holds an information session at this time to prepare seniors for the graduation ceremony

• Gateway Technical College Graduation Ceremonies - May 19th and 20th

  • Students need to check their Gateway emails to respond to the email inviting them to graduation

  • Each graduate may have up to 5 tickets for graduation

  • Held at the UW Parkside Sports and Activity Center

  • Gowns are purchased by students at the Gateway Bookstore after they register/accept invite for graduation

• Career and College Academy Graduation Ceremony - Friday, May 22nd at Grand Geneva, the Forum Room

  • Seniors are to arrive at 9:15

  • Ceremony begins at 10

  • Senior students hand in their gowns before they leave

  • Students receive their diploma from the Career and College Academy at this ceremony

    • If students are also walking in Elkhorn or Williams Bay's ceremonies, they will be able to receive a booklet like other graduates, but there will not be a second diploma in the folder because they will have already been given their diploma at the CCA graduation

  • Students who are not able to attend the CCA graduation are able to pick up their diploma from the CCA main office during regular school hours the week after graduation, please schedule an appointment with the main office (262.741.9452)

• Elkhorn High School Graduation Practice is May 29th at 7:45am

  • Students who do not attend practice will not be able to participate in the Elkhorn High School graduation ceremony

  • Students who arrive after 8 am will be removed from line and added to the end of the graduation procession

  • The senior picnic will be held at 11 am after the graduation practice

• Elkhorn High School Graduation Ceremony is Saturday, May 30th at 6 pm

  • The rain date is scheduled for Sunday, May 31st

• Williams Bay Graduation Ceremony is Friday, May 29th

  • Graduation practice is that morning, please check your Williams Bay email for more information
