Announcing... our newest charter high school... Southern Lakes College Academy
Southern Lakes College Academy
The Edge Program Is Growing—And So Are the Opportunities!
When Edge Program launched, we started with just 16 students. Today, more than 80 advanced learners are thriving in a unique early college environment—and your feedback has made one thing clear: Edge deserves a school built specifically for its students.
We’re excited to announce that Edge will become its own independent charter school in September 2026:
Southern Lakes College Academy (SLCA)
A charter school designed for advanced learners and early college pathways.
SLCA gives us the flexibility to create a learning experience that truly fits our high-achieving students—specialized schedules, stronger partnerships, expanded dual-credit options, and communication focused solely on SLCA families.
What This Means for Students
Current Edge students will apply to transfer to the SLCA for 2026–27.
All students will complete an application.
Siblings of current students will receive priority enrollment.
Lottery/waitlists will only be used if applications exceed seats.
Two cohorts of 22–24 students per grade level are planned, with potential expansion through new pathways such as UW–Whitewater Associate’s Degrees.
SLCA will continue partnerships with Elkhorn, Williams Bay, Big Foot, and Gateway Technical College to deliver high-quality early college experiences.
