located at Gateway Technical College’s Elkhorn campus!

Thank you for viewing our school’s website to learn more about the fantastic students, staff, and Career & College experiences we have to offer! The CCA is an early college experience for students enrolling in our local school districts of Elkhorn, Lake Geneva, and Williams Bay. We incorporate innovative programming to allow our students the best of all experiences: Start College Now through a variety of pathways through Gateway Technical College, Work Experiences within the community to further career-ready skills. Our YouthBuild cohort to gain hands-on building experience building a home in the community for a low-income family.

We previously offered services through the Alternative High School for grades 11 and 12. Through new programming offered by Gateway Technical College and the US Department of Labor, we are expanding our enrollment to serve all students (grades 9-12) and maximizing multiple pathways to a high school diploma. Any student looking for something different than what is offered by their traditional high school can apply for CCA and take advantage of the career and college opportunities we offer.

As you look through our website, you will notice that we are committed to providing innovative opportunities for our students. We are the only early college public charter school in Walworth County. We have a reputation for tailoring each student’s high school path to their individual vision for their future. We find that large, traditional high schools have systems that need to work for most, not all. At our small school, your pathway needs to work for you, and we are flexible to ensure you get everything you desire in your high school experience! Our students retain their status as a student in their home district; this means they have the opportunity to participate in elective classes, co-curricular/extra-curricular offerings, graduation ceremonies, and athletics.

We are dedicated to providing our students with an educational experience that connects them to future pathways in a sustainable career and college. The core curriculum is offered by CCA teachers for half of the day, and the other half of the day finds students pursuing classes at Gateway Technical College, community work experiences, or our YouthBuild program.
